Description
The Pico Veleta from Pinos Genil is Europe's highest and longest cycling climb: 40.4 kilometers starting from the small town of Pinos Genil, on the outskirts of Granada, and climbing relentlessly to the 3,384 meters of the summit, through the white, windswept expanses of the Andalusian Sierra Nevada. A climb that is not only measured by the legs: above 3,000 meters, you enter a world without vegetation, with snow at the roadside and the Mediterranean on the horizon.
The 2,742 meters of elevation gain accumulate in three distinct phases. The first 30 kilometers to Hoya de la Mora (2,510 m) climb with an average gradient of 5.5% — continuous but manageable. Then the road closes to traffic and the last 13 kilometers reserved for cyclists begin: the gradient rises to 8%, the air becomes thin and every watt feels twice as heavy. The average gradient of 6.8% does not convey the impact of altitude: at 3,000 meters, the perceived effort is incomparable to any other European climb.
The Vuelta a España has repeatedly reached these altitudes, with stage finishes at Hoya de la Mora which for years represented the highest point ever touched by a major stage race. Every summer, the Subida al Veleta attracts hundreds of cyclists from all over Europe with a single goal: to reach the summit of the continent's highest paved road. Those who make it down are convinced that they have climbed something unique — and they are probably right.

Care and cleaning
Heroroads are made from bio-based material and should be treated with the same care you would give to things you love. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and keep them away from heat sources: the material should not exceed 70°C. For cleaning, a soft, dry cloth is sufficient—no solvents or aggressive products.

1. Does the shape reflect the actual route?

2. I can't find my climb and/or route, can I request it from you?
We can create any route or segment. By sending us the GPX file, you can view the rendering in 24 hours and receive the 3D print at home within a few days. Go to the dedicated section ->
3. Can I add a name, date, or dedication?
Yes. The HEROAD Custom can be further customized with text, a logo, or a beech wood base to make it even more unique.
4. What material are HEROAD made of?
HEROADs are made of PLA (Polylactic acid). PLA is a corn-derived material.
Protect from direct sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures above 80°C. To clean, use a soft cloth, avoiding direct sunlight and harsh detergents.
5. What sizes are available?
There are 4 sizes available:
Micro— The keychain size, up to 5 cm high
Pocket— The compact and collectible version, up to 12 cm high
Original— The right balance of stage presence, up to 30 cm high
Big— The display version, for events, awards, bike hotels, up to 60 cm high

6. How long does it take to receive a HEROAD?
It takes 3-4 days for Heroad deliveries in Italy and 7-10 days for international deliveries. This is because each Heroad is produced to order. If you are in a hurry to receive it, please let us know in the notes field during checkout.
