THE HEROAD DIFFERENCE

A Heroad trophy tells the story of an achievement that becomes part of the history of those who experienced it.
It is the actual elevation profile of the route – every bend, every hairpin turn, every false flat – transformed into a unique design object, made from bio-derived PLA from corn.

Let's turn your journey into a design object

How many winners do you want to reward?

A granfondo rarely stops at the overall podium. Let's do a quick calculation for a typical race:

3 pieces

Overall podium (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

6 pieces

Elite Categories M/F (podium × 2)

18 pieces

Categories Master 1-2-3 M/F (podium × 6)

Do you ever feel like people don't truly appreciate your cycling achievements?
If only there was a way to show them what the route you conquered was really like.
Well, now there is! Heroad is a 3D printing company that will take your GPX file and turn it into a reality.

FAQs

1. Can I customize the trophy with the event and sponsor logos?

Yes, every Heroad trophy is fully customizable. Event logo, sponsor logos, winners' names, category, year, dedicated texts: everything can be integrated into the design. Before production, we will send you a photorealistic 3D rendering so you can see exactly where each element will be placed.

2. What is the minimum and maximum number of pieces you can produce?

The minimum order is 3 pieces, the podium of the overall winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd). However, many organizers choose to also award the winners of each category (age groups, male/female gender, teams, pro/amateurs, elite/masters): in that case, the order increases accordingly, and we adapt without problems. There is no maximum limit: we also produce several hundred pieces for miniatures and race packs.

3. How long before the event do I need to contact you?

It depends on the order size. For small orders (3-10 pieces), 7-10 days are sufficient from rendering approval. For large orders (50+ pieces), we recommend at least 3-4 weeks. Production times start from rendering approval, not from the first contact: we work on the render in the days leading up to it.

4. What do I need to send you to get started?

We need four things:

  1. The GPX of the route (or a link from Strava, Komoot, Garmin)
  2. The event logo (and your sponsors' logos, if you want to include them)
  3. The quantity and any categories (1st/2nd/3rd, male/female, etc.)
  4. The texts to be engraved, if any (names, year, category)

Everything else — design, proportions, colors, wooden base — we will decide together during the rendering phase.

5. Is the trophy design automatically generated from the GPX?

No. The GPX is the starting point, not the final result. Each Heroad is hand-drawn by an expert designer: interpretation of the route, choice of proportions, logo composition, base details, finishes – everything goes through a creative and artisanal process. It's the difference between a design object meant to last and a simple, impersonal copy-paste of a GPS track. Every Heroad trophy is unique because it's born from a hand, not an algorithm.

6. Can I see the trophy before it's produced?

Yes, and it's our process. After your brief, you will receive one or more photorealistic 3D renderings via email. We will edit them together—colors, proportions, logo placement, wooden base—until it's exactly how you want it. No production begins without your approval.

7. What materials and colors are the trophies made of?

We print in PLA, a high-quality plastic material ideal for most trophies, and in PETG for large outdoor installations, which is more resistant to weathering. The bases of the trophies are made of fine beech wood treated with tung oil — a natural finish that enhances the grain and is durable over time.

There is complete freedom with colors: you can choose from the wide catalog palette or ask us for specific colors purchased custom for your race. We can replicate any RAL code color — useful for aligning the trophy with the visual identity of your event or sponsors.

8. Do you also ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide with UPS, the courier that guarantees maximum reliability and speed — essential for fragile and time-sensitive merchandise like trophies. Shipping costs are calculated in the quote based on destination, weight, and required delivery times.

9. How does payment work? Can I get an invoice?

We accept all major payment methods: credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfer. For large orders, we require a 50% deposit before production begins, with the balance due upon delivery. We issue electronic invoices—convenient for including the trophy in event expenses or having it funded by sponsors.

10. Can you also create gadgets for all participants?

Yes, that's exactly what we do with the Miniature race pack items line: small altimetries, keychains, or magnets shaped like your route, produced in high quantities and designed to fit within a race pack budget. The design is always customized to your race — that's what makes them keepsakes, not waste.
