He knows that every challenge has its legend, every undertaking its hero

He knows that every journey has a destination, every dream a path to reach it

Alcide
We are sporty, creative, a bit nerdy, and a bit artisan. We love challenges, both on the road and in life, and we believe that every achievement – big or small – deserves to be remembered. That's why we give physical form to climbs, routes, and mountains: to transform effort into something to display on your desk, give as a gift, or collect. Every Heroad is handmade in Italy, with organic materials, and with meticulous attention to detail. Because inside each of us hides a champion who wants to be celebrated.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN 3D PRINTING
The story of heroad

2020
It all started with a simple yet powerful idea: to give physical form to cycling climbs. Daniele and Alcide, united by their passion for two wheels and making, decided to turn it into something real. Alcide, who has been 3D printing for five years, started working in December 2020 and designed the first ten climbs: Stelvio, Mortirolo, Zoncolan, Gavia, Monte Grappa, Blockhaus, Manghen, Etna, Pordoi, and Colle delle Finestre. He uploaded them to his e-commerce site, www.labottegadialcide.it, almost on tiptoe—without yet knowing what that small experiment would become.

2021
HEROAD is born
The response is immediate and exceeds all expectations. The climbs are featured in industry media, specialized magazines, and even the Giro d'Italia talks about the project. It's clear that what seemed like an experiment resonated with thousands of enthusiasts. A bigger vision is needed. This is how HEROAD was born.

2022
New laboratory
Demand is growing and Alcide's home lab — three printers in the bathroom, others on the sofa — is no longer enough. It's time to take a leap. A real lab arrives: more space, more printers (first six, then nine), and finally a dedicated carpentry corner to make the custom Heroad bases and mountains. The project is starting to take the form of something solid.

2023
Trophies for the races
Heroads leave their homes and climb onto podiums. Cycling, MTB, and running races are starting to adopt them as official trophies: gold, silver, and bronze to honor the winners, miniature course replicas in race packs for all participants. A trophy that is not just a prize—it is the physical embodiment of the challenge just completed, something to keep, give as a gift, collect. Unique in its kind.

2024
Mountain-shaped lamps are born
Heroad expands beyond climbs. Introducing Mountains: 3D topographical representations that faithfully reproduce every peak — from Everest to K2 — with high-quality printing on a premium beech wood base. For the first time, 3D printing and Alcide's passion for wood merge into a single object. Featuring an integrated LED circuit, they become designer lamps, handcrafted, 100% Made in Italy, made with organic materials. A new way to bring the mountains home.

2025
Awards Ceremony Lap of Honour
Heroad is chosen by the Giro d'Onore to reward the 100 cyclists who have distinguished themselves during the calendar year. A high-profile gala, an evening that celebrates the excellence of Italian cycling. An important recognition, confirming how Heroad has carved out a solid place for itself in the modern cycling imagination.

2026
We don't yet know what this year will bring. But after five years of climbs, workshops, races, mountains, and accolades, one thing is certain: we can't wait to find out.
