Description
The Colle del Nivolet from Locana is one of the longest and most solitary bike climbs in the Italian Alps: 39.7 kilometers from the bottom of the Orco Valley to the 2,612 meters of the pass, nestled in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, where the asphalt ends and silence begins.
The first thirteen kilometers are a long breath: the Orco Valley flows gently, and the gradient remains moderate, almost encouraging. But it's an illusion. After Ceresole Reale at 1,450 meters—the last useful water refill—the road becomes more serious, skirts the artificial lake, and then opens onto a lunar landscape of rocks and glacial lakes. The 2,000 meters of elevation gain accumulate slowly but inexorably, with consistent sections at 7–9% and ramps up to 14% that break the rhythm when the legs start to give way.
The Giro d'Italia first set foot here only in 2019, stopping at Lago Serrù at an altitude of 2,243 meters: Ilnur Zakarin crossed the finish line first, while Jan Polanc wore the pink jersey on that road built in 1931 to serve the hydroelectric basins. The Nivolet had remained out of the major tours for decades, not for lack of grandeur, but because some paradises are difficult to tame.

Care and cleaning
Heroroads are made from bio-based material and should be treated with the same care you would give to things you love. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and keep them away from heat sources: the material should not exceed 70°C. For cleaning, a soft, dry cloth is sufficient—no solvents or aggressive products.

The keychain format comes with a strap, is small, lightweight, and can always be carried with you. Height up to 5 cm

1. Does the shape reflect the actual route?

Each model is designed using a precise and accurate 3D drawing based on a GPX track of your achievements
2. I can't find my climb and/or route, can I request it from you?
We can create any route or segment. By sending us the GPX file, you can view the rendering in 24 hours and receive the 3D print at home within a few days. Go to the dedicated section ->
3. Can I add a name, date, or dedication?
Yes. The HEROAD Custom can be further customized with text, a logo, or a beech wood base to make it even more unique.
4. What material are HEROAD made of?
HEROADs are made of PLA (Polylactic acid). PLA is a corn-derived material.
Protect from direct sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures above 80°C. To clean, use a soft cloth, avoiding direct sunlight and harsh detergents.
5. What sizes are available?
There are 4 sizes available:
Micro— The keychain size, up to 5 cm high
Pocket— The compact and collectible version, up to 12 cm high
Original— The right balance of stage presence, up to 30 cm high
Big— The display version, for events, awards, bike hotels, up to 60 cm high

6. How long does it take to receive a HEROAD?
It takes 3-4 days for Heroad deliveries in Italy and 7-10 days for international deliveries. This is because each Heroad is produced to order. If you are in a hurry to receive it, please let us know in the notes field during checkout.
